Pura Besakih is not one temple but a vast complex of temples that sprawl across the mountainside. It is considered the landing field for the gods. The Hindu trinity is represented here in temples that represent the god Siwa, Wisnu, and Brahma. Almost everyday village groups come to pray and collect holy water to take home to use in their village temple ceremonies. This is also the temple used for the completion ceremony after ones death.

I am awed at how this society is so entirely built on their spiritual beliefs!
